Galerie Ora-Ora at VOLTA 13, Basel, Switzerland will present epistolary anecdotes from the lives of history's greatest musicians, illustrated by Peng Wei. Cocooned in a darkened space, visitors will be immersed in a bi-sensory spectacle of art and music. As Peng Wei playfully combines diametrical counterpoints, how might we respond to the solemn news of Beethoven's anger at a friend taking his spoon, whilst listening to the Eroica? This playful combination of harmony and discord will provide insights and questions into the nature of greatness, and the dichotomy between what we are and what the world expects us to be.
