This week we speak to Olivia Wang on her passion for ink, while reflecting on her directorial debut "Unsung Heroes of Ink", a documentary which focuses on the significance of paper in ink art.

 

Olivia Wang is an independent art curator, consultant and writer, as well as Representative of the Ink Society, Hong Kong. Her writing on contemporary Chinese art has been published in the Wall Street Journal, ArtAsiaPacific, Orientations, Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art, among others. She is the director and producer of the short film Unsung Heroes of Ink (2020), a documentary on the role of paper in ink art. Olivia holds a BA from Brown University and MPhil from Oxford University.
