HUANG DAN’S MONET-INSPIRED CONTEMPORARY INK LANDSCAPES

Zolima CityMag

Why we recommend it:

Guangxi-born, Beijing-based artist Huang Dan’s works are infused with the dreamy colour palettes and forms of the impressionists, while taking reference from the Chinese ink art canon.

Description:

Tracing the influences of Chinese artist Huang Dan, this exhibit demonstrates Dan’s continuing creative journey that draws on the stripped-down colour palettes and unfocused forms of the impressionists. Dan’s works are particularly inspired by the landscapes of Monet and their economy of brushwork. This show will include a concert at the gallery, on Saturday 19 May at 3pm. This exhibition is organised as a part of annual French arts and culture festival Le French May.
