Szelit Cheung’s work echoes this particular function of art. Cheung’s paintings invite audiences to contemplate their relationship with the artwork and society. His work explores the relationship between space and presence, employing chiaroscuro and hues in a minimal setting, to reflect on the interactions between one's self and environment.
