Tracing of Rain is a piece using abstract natural markings to depict rainfall from May 2014. It documents physical movement by the artist during a week of rainfall. Tile adhesive was applied to an acrylic panel to document the raindrops; as the raindrops eroded the adhesive, they left marks on the panel. The displaced adhesive was then replanted to another acrylic panel, forming two juxtaposed squares representing the positive and negative space of the rainfall. The artist actually transformed 4D rainfall into a 2D artwork through a 10-minute performance. The two images were then made into two juxtaposed lightboxes.
