Pan's oeuvre is based on her adaptation of ancient traditional art and appreciation of nature. As unadulterated and innocent representations of things that are pure and vibrant, Pan uses her brush to outline her unique and divine spiritual world, creating a poetic softness to her subject matters, usually focused around children, woodland animals and flora.
Pan is particularly influenced by Dunhuang Frescoes. Her creation absorbs and adapts the ancient mural painting's stylistic approach and colour application. Figures and objects are depicted in soft and gentle brushwork. As one appreciates her works, they can experience the tenderness from the perspective of a female, a mother.
