Szelit Cheung is a young artist from Hong Kong, graduated from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT) in 2012. He is extremely sensitive to his art. Working primarily in painting and drawing, his works seek to depict the essence of the images, often with feelings of fragility and delicacy, restraint and repressed temperament. “In Between” are two sketches based on photos taken by artists in the waters of Hong Kong. He deliberately photographed the rhythm, undulations, ripples and floating state of the sea, but avoided the waves that might become the "sting point" of the picture, hoping to capture hidden uncertainties. The image is the pure form of the sea as he understands it: the contact surface between air and water.
