Yang Jinsong 楊勁松

Yang Jinsong was born in Wuxi County in 1971. He graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts (2002) and the Kassel Academy of Fine Arts in Germany (1999). He now lives and works in Beijing.

 

Working with ink and paper, the artist’s works include paintings of himself and his wife, ripe watermelons, and fish. His landscape paintings of hills, forests, and rivers in China harness both western and Chinese perspectives and vanishing points to create rich, impressionistic tableaux.

 

His solo exhibitions include 2021’s Tough Scenes 2020 at Fanxi Delarue Gallery, France, 2019’s All about Trees at ICICLE, Paris and Change of Scene at Beijing Lotus Art Museum, Beijing. His most recent group exhibition at Ora-Ora was 16.52 Sqm Open Sea.
