The Aesthetics of Women
Text: a.m. post June 2010

Traditional ancient Chinese ladies used to stay in their houses all day and do needlework in order to abide by the house rules. As time goes by, the status of women has been enhanced. Man Fung-yi is the best example of an artist who has blossomed due to her own creativity and perseverance in art. What makes this exhibition outstanding is that, the organizer, Galerie Ora-Ora, focuses on a much larger selection of her latest pieces. This exhibition aims at enhancing the in-depth understanding of the visitors on the artistic development of her most recent works. As suggested by the name of the exhibition, Woven Sentiments, the pieces of needlework are woven with the artist’s personal feelings of affection and prayers for blessings. This exhibition will be held from 29 May to 26 June at Galerie Ora-Ora. For more details, please visit the following website: http://www.ora-ora.com.
